Octavo, unpaged, a single signature of 16pp.), with three b/w drawings by Susan Stone. This is the account of an October afternoon's trap shooting in Connecticut's Litchfield Hills, a competition among the fifteen members of the Six Shooters Trap Club, of which the author, a noted educator and writer, was a member. The book is one of a limited edition (25 numbered copies, plus "certain additional copies reserved out of series "-- this copy being one of the latter) printed by graphic designer Hiram Ash at his Orchard Press on cream Molina cover and text paper and sewn into heavy wrappers with the cover title printed in red. Very fine, with the prospectus for the booklet laid in.

Octavo, xi, 32pp., an edition of 800 trade copies, (of an edition of 1,000), with an introduction by Owen Culbertson and b/w illustrations by Gordon Ross. The typography is by Frederic Warde. There is a frontispiece drawing by Ross showing Boker astride a horse, looking like the 19th-century man of culture that he was -- poet and playwright, ambassador to Turkey and Russia. About fine in lightly edge-rubbed wood-grain paper, cloth spine, top edge gilt.
