PRIVATE PRESSES OF SAN SERRIFFE.
North Hills, Pennsylvania: Bird & Bull Press, 1980. First edition Large octavo, 40pp., supposedly printed by the San Serriffe Publishing Company in Port Clarendon (noted as being northeast of the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean) in February 1980 in an edition of 350 copies, of which this is copy number 1. Indeed there are 350 copies, all of them number 1, this being Henry Morris's delightful spoof on private presses, including some wonderful examples from San Serriffe such as the Sdrawcab Sserp run by Mr. Backwards. Fine in floral-patterned paper on boards, tan cloth spine. The prospectus, plus a bearer note for 25 coronas -- the currency of San Serriffe, of course -- are laid in. (Item ID: 6837)
