There is a frontispiece engraving of Huish and several b/w illustrations in the text, which contains, among many other topics, a chapter on "the bee-master's monthly manual". Internally very good in green morocco, decorative rules and narrow borders on the cover, compartmented spine, inner dentelles, bound by White (Piccadilly). Paper break to inner front hinge, with the spine cracked at the front edge, and showing some edge wear. There is an armorial bookplate of Frederick Straker on the front pastedown endpaper.
